Shadow Days
Become a Cyclone for the day! Prospective students may visit Sacred Heart- Griffin High School and experience a day in the life of a Cyclone. SHG students offer a great introduction to our school’s culture and atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
Open to students currently in 8th grade or high school students interested in transferring. The student may pick who they would like to shadow, or they can be paired with someone with similar interests or learning levels.
The day of the shadow, the student is to report to the main office (1200 W. Washington St.) at 7:45 a.m. to meet their shadow mate. Students will not be allowed to carry a purse or a bookbag during school but may keep one at the front desk if needed. Cell phones are absolutely not allowed to be used during class time. The student may wear comfortable, appropriate clothing (no tight-fitting clothing, holes in pants or yoga pants), and lunch will be provided from our cafeteria. They may be picked up at the end of the school day at 2:25 p.m.
Shadow Days are generally available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from August 26 - May 9.

Group and Personal Tours
“Take a Look Tuesday”- Group Tours
On Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm come take a group tour of our beautiful East Campus (1200 W. Washington Street, Springfield, IL 62702). On your tour meet with students and teachers, check out our guidance department, campus ministry, tuition office, and more! Learn about the many programs SHG has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
Registration encouraged.
Personal Tours
Register for a Personal Tour offered between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Appointments may be made after 2:30 p.m., if necessary. On your tour you will get a thorough walk-through of our beautiful East Campus (1200 W. Washington Street, Springfield, IL 62702), meet with students and teachers, check out our guidance department, campus ministry, and learn about the many programs SHG has to offer. You will have the opportunity to personally meet with our Tuition Manager in the finance office. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
